Edale Walking and Hiking Guides
All of our walks are tried, tested and verified as safe and appropriate to the best of our knowledge.
Never get lost.
*you might get lost so always have a plan and be well equipped.

Edale & Hayfield Circular
This is a circular route taking in both Edale and Hayfield. You can start from either. Part of the route (from Hayfield) was taken by the Mass Trespassers who sparked the Right to Roam movement. We recommend catching the train to Edale and stopping for lunch in Hayfield.

Not Quite the Edale Boundary Walk
A walk very similar to the bi-annual locals extravaganza ‘The Boundary’. A mammoth effort that for true completion (meeting the boundary edges) requires some off piste local knowledge. Our nod to it sticks to paths where possible but covers roughly the same distance and duration.

Grindleford to Edale Reverse
This is one of those walks you’ll need to make sure you’ve had a good hearty breakfast to get you through. As well as a good lunch in your napsack for the journey. As well as some snacks to give you a pep up when the legs begin to wobble at the end! It. Has. Everything. Get your eyes on Padley Gorge, Surprise View, Higger Tor, Stanage Edge, Ladybower… you get the idea. It’s huge!
