The Gathering is one of our favourite stays in Edale. Beautiful glamping spots and a magnificent hall with rooms attached that cater for couples, families or groups of up to 30 in the Summer months. Hosted by Tommy and Kirsty who live in ‘the big house’ house and wonderful Mike & Viv who make sure everything runs smoothly. An estate that boasts hundred of acres to explore running up to the top of Kinder Scout. A wonderful family feel and a dream stay - you won’t believe your eyes.

A cosy detached one bedroom cottage in the heart of the Peak District. Renovated to a high standard with a fully equipped kitchen and shower room. Outside you can be as active or relaxed as you like, with walks directly from the cottage and a beautiful south facing patio with views over Goose Croft Orchard.

Fieldhead Campsite sits behind the Moorland Centre in Edale village. A campsite of only 45 pitches situated alongside Grindsbrook, the stream running from its source on Kinder Scout to the River Noe at the foot of the valley. Owned by the Peak District National Park but run and managed by Charlie and Cassy since 2022 it’s been at the heart of the Edale camping experience for over 20 years and is popular with backpackers and families looking to enjoy the surrounding hills and fall asleep on a quiet campsite at the end of a long day.

A semi-detached stone built country cottage with stone flag flooring, exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings, the cottage provides a stunning retreat for couples wanting to enjoy the scenery of Edale and the surrounding Peak District National Park.

Rowlands Farm offers two luxury cottages, each sleeping 4, in the shadow of Mam Tor on the south bank of the valley. The cottages are only a few years old, have fantastic facilities and sit alongside the main house at the end of a beautiful hedge-lined lane.

The YHA in Edale is a highly regarded activity centre and one of the highest stays in the Peak District, offering incredible views of The Great Ridge right outside it’s front door. Perfect for solo travellers, couples, families, groups, school trips and adventure weekends it offers affordable accomodation in a great location to suit most needs.

One of the more rustic offerings among the growing campsite community in Edale, Waterside Campsite is as honest as it gets. Easy access via the Hope Road just along from Barber Booth it rates itself as a quiet campsite suitable for couples, families, motorbikes, tents and caravans. It has two fixed two berth caravans on site ready to roll with bedding, power and cooking utensils supplied. The campsite itself has a (very) small shop.

Become Wild is one of Edale’s newest offerings. Situated at the base of the famous winding Mam Tor road and with views from Mam Tor to Grindslow Knoll there are few better positions in the valley to soak in the landscape from the comfort of your luxury bell tent. With ‘proper’ toilets, hot tubs, double beds, BBQs and your host George to support you during your stay you really couldn’t hope for a more relaxing set up to get you in the holiday mood.

The Old Nag's Head is set in Edale, at the start of the Pennine Way, in the beautiful Peak District. It’s a 16th Century Pub with dark beams, low ceilings, open fires and lot of nooks and crannies to tuck yourself away in. The attached cottages are simple but perfectly suited to couples and families looking for somewhere to put their head down after a long day in the hills.

Ollerbrook Cottages comprise of two 4 person cottages just over the river from the village centre (you won’t find a prettier walk home from the pub) and two bunkhouses that sleep 14 and 18, a further 5 minutes along a track and on Ollerbrook Farm itself.

Great location if you’re happy being 10-15 minute walk to the village through fields and farm track. It has one bedroom, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a fridge, a TV, seating area and 1 bathroom, free private parking and WiFi.

The valley’s busiest campsite, Newfold Farm sits opposite the local school and alongside the start of The Pennine Way. Formerly Cooper’s Campsite, new owners took over in 2020, have improved some facilities and are now offering a shop, bar, cafe, bistro, glamping, traditional camping pitches and hard-standing for campervans.

Hathaway Cottage, a property with a garden and barbecue facilities features 1 bedroom, a kitchen with a dishwasher and a fridge, a TV, a seating area and 1 bathroom.

Midfeather Cottage, a property with a garden, is situated in Edale and features 2 bedrooms, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a fridge, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a shower. It also has free private parking.

Meadow View has a garden, 3 bedrooms, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a fridge, a washing machine, and 3 bathrooms with a shower.

Veras Cottage has a garden, 2 bedrooms, a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Towels and bed linen are offered in the holiday home. The accommodation also offers a fireplace.

The Stables is a spacious holiday home has 3 bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area and a dishwasher, and 1 bathroom.

The Old Cart House provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. It has 3 bedrooms, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven, a washing machine, and 2 bathrooms with a walk-in shower. There is also a seating area and a fireplace.

One of the highest rated stays in Castleton is The Bulls Head which sits on the high street running through the centre of the village. It offers a number or twin and double rooms and has fantastic views running up to Winnats Pass.

Is it a pub with rooms or a hotel with a pub below it? Either way it’s another popular spot with great views down the high street and evening entertainment too. The rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with free toiletries and a hairdryer. Some have four poster beds!

A former coaching inn less than a minute’s walk from Peveril Castle, which you can climb to enjoy breathtaking views over the Hope Valley. Traditionally furnished, with some retaining original features. Close to 4 show caverns, where you can explore vaulted chambers, bottomless pits, gemstone mines and underground canals via boat.

Surrounded by the Peak District countryside Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese inn is in the picturesque village of Castleton. With 4 caverns on the doorstep, it is a great base to explore the spectacular Winnats Pass and Mam Tor. Each room has a flat screen tv and tea and coffee facilities. All have en suite shower or bath with hairdryer, towels and complimentary toiletries.

Haddock Hideaway offers accommodation in Castleton a short hop from everything the village has to offer. The rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Some rooms include a seating area to relax in after a busy day. You will find a kettle in the room. Some rooms are pet-friendly. Guests can book to use the hot tub for an additional fee.

There are also 4 show caves in the village.

Located in Castleton, The Barn Behind is a sustainable accommodation.
