Sharing Walking Content
Walking means different things to different people. For us, it’s about time, attention and finding quiet moments in the landscape - often close to home.
Visit Edale shares walking content from across the Peak District, with a particular focus on the lesser-known places - the paths, valleys, edges and villages that make up most of the landscape but rarely get talked about. We’re especially interested in walks beyond the usual highlights - the places people pass through, not just the places they post.
This page explains how we share content, what we look for, and how we approach using and crediting work, so everything stays clear and comfortable on both sides.
How it works
You’re welcome to tag Visit Edale in your posts or Reels, or send us your content directly.
We curate carefully. Not everything shared with us will be reposted or used.
Tagging Visit Edale lets us know you’re happy for us to reshare your content if we choose to.
Using your content
If we decide to share your content:
We’ll credit you clearly.
Where possible, we’ll use Instagram’s collaboration feature so the post appears on both accounts.
Content may be shared on Visit Edale’s social channels, such as Instagram.
We won’t use your content for anything else without asking.
Payment
When we use a post or Reel, we pay a small fixed fee as a thank-you.
Payment is agreed before anything is published.
There’s no payment for content we don’t use.
We don’t base payment on follower numbers - we’re interested in the walk, the moment, and how it’s shared.
A few things to know
Tagging Visit Edale doesn’t guarantee your content will be featured.
We’re looking for genuine walking experiences, not ads or heavily branded content.
You’re free to keep sharing your content elsewhere - nothing here is exclusive unless we explicitly agree otherwise.

No. You’re free to share your content elsewhere unless we explicitly agree otherwise.
Do you only share lesser-known locations?
We’re interested in the whole Peak District, and we’ll happily consider content from well-known spots like Mam Tor, Padley Gorge, Luds Church or the stepping stones. However, we prioritise the quieter 90% - places people might not recognise immediately, or walks that feel personal rather than iconic.
