    Fieldhead Campsite sits behind the Moorland Centre in Edale village. A campsite of only 45 pitches situated alongside Grindsbrook, the stream running from its source on Kinder Scout to the River Noe at the foot of the valley. Owned by the Peak District National Park but run and managed by Charlie and Cassy since 2022 it’s been at the heart of the Edale camping experience for over 20 years and is popular with backpackers and families looking to enjoy the surrounding hills and fall asleep on a quiet campsite at the end of a long day.

    One of the more rustic offerings among the growing campsite community in Edale, Waterside Campsite is as honest as it gets. Easy access via the Hope Road just along from Barber Booth it rates itself as a quiet campsite suitable for couples, families, motorbikes, tents and caravans. It has two fixed two berth caravans on site ready to roll with bedding, power and cooking utensils supplied. The campsite itself has a (very) small shop.

    Become Wild is one of Edale’s newest offerings. Situated at the base of the famous winding Mam Tor road and with views from Mam Tor to Grindslow Knoll there are few better positions in the valley to soak in the landscape from the comfort of your luxury bell tent. With ‘proper’ toilets, hot tubs, double beds, BBQs and your host George to support you during your stay you really couldn’t hope for a more relaxing set up to get you in the holiday mood.

    Ollerbrook Cottages comprise of two 4 person cottages just over the river from the village centre (you won’t find a prettier walk home from the pub) and two bunkhouses that sleep 14 and 18, a further 5 minutes along a track and on Ollerbrook Farm itself.

Formerly Cooper’s Campsite, new owners took over in 2020, have improved some facilities and are now offering a shop, bar, cafe, bistro, glamping, traditional camping pitches and hard-standing for campervans.
